"Secluded in the woods halfway between Montignac-Lascaux and Sarlat, Les Jardins du Manoir d'Eyrignac are considered the most beautiful French-style gardens of the Périgord.
The estate has been in the same family for 22 generations. The garden was designed in the 18th century, then converted into an English-style park before being restored to its original layout in the 20th century. This is one of the most beautiful examples of topiary art in all of France, with a unique collection of leafy sculptures in more than 300 shapes and 50,000 plants including yews, boxwood and hornbeams. The visitor's guide available at the reception desk, optional iPod rental and description panels which dot the circuit offer a self-guided stroll through the various garden areas: the boxwood labyrinth, the hornbeam promenade, and more.
